Productive Morning Habits To Start Your Day Right
"Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen."
Mornings can be the best part of your day or the worst; it all depends on what you decide to make of them. Having a set morning routine is the perfect way to make your mornings more productive which, in return, will make your day more productive also. Here are some of my favorite habits that are sure to make your morning count.
Create a to-do List.
To-do lists are a great way to ensure a productive day. Whenever I have a long list of important things to do that day, it motivates me to complete these tasks and keeps me on track for the rest of the day.
make your bed and straighten up your room.
Not to sound like a mom here, but I really believe that a clean living space is crucial for a clear mind. If you straighten up any messes you made the night before daily, your room will be able to stay constantly clean. Making bed is like the cherry on top, giving your room a nice, neat appeal.
Eat a big breakfast.
It's true. Breakfast has proven itself again to be the most important meal of the day. It curbs cravings during the rest of the day, making you less likely to snack and more likely to choose healthier options for lunch and for dinner.
Write a "morning thoughts" journal entry.
Journalling is a very important habit that helps keep you aware of your mind and body. It can relieve strss and is a great place to write things that you would not even want your friends hearing. I find "morning thoughts" journals to be my favorite because they are a great eay to get all my thoughts off of my chest before I start my day.
It's scary to think that most of the American admits to not having read a book since middle school. In a country where we have the luxury to learn how to read, we should be taking advantage of this opprotunity that not everybody has. Reading can help improve memory, focus, and analytical thinking skills. Reading, even if just for a little bit each morning, is a great way to be productive without even needing to get out of bed.
Exercising first thing in the morning is, in my opinion, the best time to do it. It will wake you up, boost your energy levels and kickstart your day. Plus, another benefit of exercising in the morning is that you will be getting it over with, and won't worry about needing to do it later that day.
Meditating in the morning is one of the best ways to ground yourself before the day begins. You can start with 5 minutes, then try 10, and eventually you can get up to half an hour! If you are someone who struggles with focusing during a meditation, you can try a guided one using an app like headspace.
